Bhakti in an App
Are you a devotee of Krishna? a Hare Krishna as many people call? There is no need to be a Vaishnav for worhip Vishnu, we all do once we start to learn Yoga properly, mainly when it comes to the lecture on Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga.
There is an App available for both Android and iOS devices, including iPhones. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play Store. I got to know about this App during a visit to Mumbai before I start the Gokarna Retreat. I visit a very good friend there skilled in Self Development and his wife and mom toke me out to visit a huge ISKCON Temple under still construction. I enjoyed a lot to be there and the day after I visit the place once again. A Vaishnavi took me to see the whole construction, offered me some books, told me many tales and stories, apart of introduce me to this App.
The “Vaishnav Songs – ISKCON” app is a mobile application developed by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) that provides access to a collection of devotional songs and prayers from the Vaishnava tradition. The app includes a wide range of songs, including kirtans, bhajans, and prayers, which are typically sung during religious ceremonies and gatherings.
One of the key features of the app is its user-friendly interface, which allows users to easily search for and browse through different songs and playlists. The app also includes audio recordings of each song, as well as lyrics in several different languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, and Sanskrit.
This app is a useful tool for those who are interested in learning more about the Vaishnava tradition and its devotional music. It provides a convenient way to access a large collection of songs and prayers, and the audio recordings make it easy to learn and sing along.
